IGGPRA
P.O. Box 599
Paso Robles, CA 93447
The Paso Robles wine appellation is the largest wine region in California and features a distinct variety of soils, a wide topographical mix, and diverse micro climates. These unique conditions mean that the Paso area is able to grow a wide variety of grapes. It covers 24 square miles and is an equal distance between San Francisco and Los Angeles. It is now the fastest growing American Viticultural Area (AVA) in California.
IGGPRA offers three different membership categories:
Growers, Gold, Silver and Bronze Associates from our community of suppliers and vendors, and Friends of the vine.
For further information on membership, or to download an application, please click on the “Join IGGPRA” tab.
IGGPRA focus is “growers helping growers”. Through an open exchange of ideas and information within the membership, we work to keep our member-growers abreast on the latest in state and federal government issues, vineyard technology, planting, growing and harvesting techniques, labor issues and industry trends.
Information is provided monthly through social events, seminars, workshop and newsletters. It is our intention to develop a repository of timely and significant information made available to our members through this website. Please contact any one of our board members if you have something you would like to share with our members.
We believe that growing grapes is more than just farming. Viticulture is actually a lifestyle with its own language and culture. To many it may seem that everyone in this area grows grapes. But, in reality, we are a unique niche in the farming community, and we have come together to help one another.
An association spokesman recently said, "The diverse central coast is fast becoming one of the worlds quality wine grape growing regions. Our all volunteer group intends to actively pursue and promote the area as a destination for tourism and wine appreciation, and to promote an atmosphere of appreciation for the heritage of the area we all enjoy."
Thank you for visiting our web site, and we hope you consider joining our association.
