The Paso Robles appellation has proposed eleven American Viticulture Areas. Davis professor Deborah Elliot Fisk has given a defined definition as to soils, geology, topography and climate for each area. Her professional opinion indicates an obvious overlapping of the boundary line between the Adelaide district and the San Miguel district. All but one of the twenty one proposed Paso Robles Westside wineries are in the Adelaide district. Until this boundary line can be brought to its proper location I am opposed to any sub-appellation called Paso Robles Westside.
