Real Estate Executive turns Vineyard Owner

Mike Collins entered the business of growing wine grapes in 1994 when he acquired Fox Run Vineyards, a 20-acre vineyard in the Independence Ranch area of San Miguel, CA.  Vineyards that have purchased his grapes have included Stags Leap Wine Cellars and the Hess Collection in Napa and Sebastiani Winery in Sonoma.  As a grape grower, Mike developed the expertise to successfully run a vineyard, trouble shoot and act as a consultant to clients interested in acquiring vineyard property.

Beyond the vineyards of San Miguel, Mike has been an active realtor in the State of California for over 40 years. He was President and principal owner of Collins & Watts Realty with nine offices and two escrow companies from Camarillo to San Diego.  Over 13,000 properties were marketed and sold during his 30 years of running the company.

Mr. Collins is active in the Paso Robles Community serving with the Kiwanis Club and the Paso Robles Elks Club.  He is also a charter member of the Independent Grape Growers of the Paso Robles Area (IGGPRA) where he is Secretary of the Board of Directors.

Mike is passionate about his grapes and loves to promote the wine industry in the Paso Robles area.
