Dry farmed, Head pruned, High quality

Quality ahead of quanity, head pruned to produce two to three tons an acre. Cultivate to preserve winter rainfall. Irrigation in place for supplemental irrigation if needed and to incorporate nutrients.Soils are of shaly, gravelly, calcareous rich limestone that holds the winter rains well on southerly sloping terrain. All of the above has worked for me for the past 55 years growing wine grapes in the Paso Robles appellation.
